Harry W. Gaffney & Company, Inc. since 1922 has been an independent distributor of specialty raw materials and packaging into the mid Atlantic region of manufacturers and industrial accounts. Our area of service includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia. We are an experienced and reliable organization committed to service and attention to detail as we strive to meet the ongoing needs and expectations of our partners and customers.
Harry W. Gaffney & Company, Inc. was founded in 1922 by my father, trading as Baker and Gaffney. Their principal business at that time was brokering in natural products such as vegetable oils and alcohols to the textile and coating industry.
As industries and raw material requirements have changed over the past 85 years, we have endeavored to diversify our product lines and services to better serve the local industries. We have been actively seeking out new principals, who manufacture products that our current customers need and use. Through this practice we can provide a single dependable source for our customers to obtain raw materials. Recently, we opened a new warehouse facility located just ten miles north of center-city Philadelphia. With much of our product line being stocked here, LTL orders can be shipped with very short turn around times.
Upon entering the 21st century, our goal is to keep in touch with today's manufacturing needs while continuing to offer the highest professional standards. Our warehouse and our close relationship with many freight carriers allow us to very effectively assist our customers in implementing a just in time inventory system. Our emphasis will remain on special attention to personal service and continuous improvement in all areas of our operations. We are committed to assisting our customers in solving any current supply problems that arise and preventing any new ones from occurring.
